Danika Stud are proud to offer five high quality lots at the 2017 National Yearling Sale, due to take place from May 3rd-5th.
Two of the yearlings will be offered on behalf of Nicky Bartlett herself, with the other lots are offered as agent on behalf of Rob Knuppe.

First of the Danika draft to come up for sale is lot 255, a colt by ill-fated Sail From Seattle, whose progeny include the Gr1 winners Elusive Gold and Gulf Storm, recent Gr3 Sycamore Sprint winner Seattle Singer and no fewer than 10 juvenile winners this season. This colt, whose 3 winning siblings include a five time winner, is out of a winning ½ sister to G2 winner and G1 Cape Derby third Arion, from the family of G1 winners Bold Thatch, Fort Defiance, Ravishing, Vega, and Villandry.

Next into the ring comes lot 370, a daughter of triple Equus Champion and prominent first crop sire What A Winter, whose yearlings have caused a stir in sales rings around the country. This filly is out of a three time winning daughter of a G1 placed stakes winner of nine and is from the same family as Gold Cup winner Cereus.

Third of the Danika draft is lot 392 –a colt by sire of the moment and G1 L’Ormarins Queen’s Plate winner, Gimmethegreenlight. Leading First Crop Sire last season, the son of More Than Ready’s recent stakes winners including G3 winning 2yo Green Plains, and stakes winners Gimme The Stars and Beataboutthebush. This colt is out of a mare who won six and shares his broodmare sire with G1 World Sports Betting Cape Fillies Guineas winner Just Sensual.

Champion sire Silvano, sire of recent G1 winners Orchid Island and Nightingale, is responsible for lot 425, a colt out of a Trippi full-sister to a stakes placed winner.  His second dam is a classic placed daughter of champion sire/broodmare sire Fort Wood –damsire of Silvano’s G1 winners Nightingale and Marinaresco.

Danika’s final yearling on the National Sale is lot 437, a colt by G1 Middle Park Stakes and exciting young sire Crusade. This colt is a full brother to a recent winner, and his four other winning siblings include the smart filly Peace Again. His dam is a four time winning ¾ sister to the lightning fast stakes winner Perestroika and his stakes placed second dam is an own sister to Cape Nursery winner Boy Jayson.

Danika Stud, breeder of former Equus Champion Kings Gambit, has been enjoying a purple patch with their runners of late including the impressive debut winner Cat’s Legacy and fellow 2yo winner Pen-Chan, as well as the highly rated Prince Alfred.
