PIERRE JOURDAN ONE STEP CLOSER TO TRIPLE CROWN

Winning the Grade 1 SA Classic over 1800m at Turffontein on Saturday, 27 March 2010 brought Pierre Jourdan (Parade Leader / Vin Fizz) one step closer to taking the Triple Crown (and R2-million bonus).  Pierre Jourdan and Derreck David received a standing ovation on his way back to the winner’s enclosure where he was welcomed by excited connections.
Pierre Jourdan was bred by Summerhill Stud and is a graduate of the Emperors Palace Ready-to-Run Sale in 2008, where he was bought for a mere R60,000.  His stakes earnings to date are R2.85-million.
The final leg of the SASCOC Triple Crown will be taking place on Saturday 24th April with the running of the SA Derby at Turffontein.  Our congratulations to all the connections.
