14 And Counting For Captain Of All

Klawervlei Stud’s bang in-form and highly exciting young sire Captain Of All has made a cracking start with his first two-year-olds this season, and the former sprint champion was at it again at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Wednesday afternoon.

His first-crop daughter Bella Bellarina became Captain Of All’s fourteenth individual winner when she scored a convincing win over 1000 metres.
Under jockey Muzi Yeni, the Yogas Govender trained filly pulled clear to notch a smart looking 2.1 length for owners Messrs Naidoo, Rambaras & P M Racing.

Bred by the Piemonte Stud, Bella Bellarina, who has now won or placed in two of her four starts, was a R140 000 buy from the 2018 National Sale.

She joins the likes of stakes winners What You Are (Devon Air Stakes) and Captain Anne Bonny (East Cape Fillies Nursery), as well as the likes of Self Assured, Shango, Indy Go, Cartel Captain, and Rainbow Unicorn as promising winners to have emerged from triple G1 winner, and Klawervlei Farm Sale graduate, Captain Of All’s exciting and impressive first crop.

One of the very best sons of Klawervlei’s late, great sire Captain Al (whose G1 Rising Sun Gold Challenge winning son Undercover Agent joins Klawervlei’s roster for 2019), Captain Of All is currently the Leading First Crop Sire in South Africa, by individual winners, for 2018-2019.

He has two runners in the Gr2 Umkhomazi Stakes, namely Indy Go (out of Gr2 winner Go Indigo) and Captain Morgans trained by Tobie Spies.

Rainbow Unicorn will be running in the Gr2 Debutante.

The former Equus Champion has nine lots on offer at the 2019 Emperors Palace National 2YO Sale.
