Willow Magic First Runner Places 2nd By Nose

The first runner from the first Gr1 winning son of Dubawi to race and stand in South Africa, the filly Magicallee bred by Bush Hill Stud was very impressive going to the start and a favourite.

A half-sister to multiple winners and Black Type horses such as Malak Al Moolook, Reign As Kings, Millennium Reign and recent winner Bint Al Malak, she went down by a nose to Mogok juvenile colt Harlington Express – giving Bush Hill Stud a 1-2 in the first juvenile race of the season in KZN.

The Willow Magic’s have been popular at sales, he sold 9 yearlings at an average of R255 000 each.

Willow Magic stands at Summerhill Stud, trained by Sean Tarry he won the Gr1 SA Nursery placed in two further Gr1’s at 3. He was the only Two-Year-Old of his generation to make the frame in all four of the country’s Group Ones.
