Global View Off To Unbeaten Start – 2 Runners 2 Winners!

Global View has set the tracks alight, with the first season sire having two winners from only two runners, both on debut.

Standing at Ascot Stud, the Gr2 winning son of Galileo was Joint 2nd rated American 2yo Turf colt in his time. He also won the Gr3 Generous Stakes and placed in the Gr1 Secretariat Stakes, and descends from the damline of Green Tune, AP Warrior and Storm Bird and stands for a very reasonable R20 000 live foal fee.

Cleverly named Delicasea, out of Var mare Caviar, won on debut for trainer Alan Greeff and owners Messrs L Dotwana, B J Keevy, and breeder Dr Ashley Parker. Delicasea is a R200 000 graduate off Session 2 of the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, and won her connections an additional R60 000 Maiden Juvenile Bonus from Bloodstock SA and the TBA in partnership – an incentive when ticking the box for a qualifying yearling or two year old purchased from a BSA sale in 2019. Her dam Caviar is out of Lewinsky’s Lover – a mare that produced record holding speedsters Scandal and Humidor amongst her winners. This is the incredible damline of London News, Pluck, Covenant and Master Of My Fate amongst many.

Global Drummer, also bred and consigned to the 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale, sold for R250 000 in Session 1.

Trained by Gavin Smith, the 2yo colt won on debut by an incredible 5 lengths and also collected the BSA and TBA Bonus of R60 000, a massive drawcard to support the BSA sales and recoup costs towards the purchase of a horse. Also bred by Ascot Stud, Global Drummer out of a Kilconnel mare is owned by Mr V C Veeramootoo. Global Drummer hails from the family of Dubai star Heavy Metal (GB), a 15-time winner including three Gr2 wins, and Gr1 winner Van Halen – interestingly, both dams of the latter two horses are #SAFbred full sisters!

Congratulations to the Parkers of Ascot Stud.
