Lee Scribante, Chairman of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association of South Africa and owner of Piemonte Stud has appealed to the Government to lift lockdown.
“My plea to Government is to please abolish or get rid of this lockdown that we are presently experiencing, we understand the initial lockdown to get yourself prepared, and Im sure we are all prepared now, and if one listens to all the scientists we all will get Covid19 like we get flu every year.
Some it affects more than others.
I know the breeders have been subjected to massive expenses because they could not sell their stock – please government, I ask you to sympathise and lets get back to normality.
That is my final note and I know when you put a whole lot of scientists in a room, they will never agree – please listen to common sense. You all know my saying – 1 plus 1 is 2 – thank you.”
