Vendor and buyer convenience considerations have seen Bloodstock South Africa take the step of reducing the forthcoming Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale to be held at the TBA Sales Complex from a three-day event to two days only.
This effectively means that the full sale will be held on the scheduled second and third days i.e. Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August, with Thursday 30 July now an optional viewing and preparation day.
“Given the fact that it has been more than five months since the catalogue was finalised, and coupled with the subsequent lockdown enforced delays from the original sale date in April, there has been some, not unexpected, attrition in the originally subscribed catalogue numbers. We appreciate and respect the reality that individual vendor circumstances change and that it has been a severely pressurised time for breeders,” said BSA CEO Michael Holmes.
The two-day sale on Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August will be conducted strictly in terms of all Covid-19 protocols prevailing at that time.
