Snowdance Brother Impresses, Possible Export To Hong Kong

The full brother to Gr1 winner Snowdance, who very recently foaled her first foal by Lancaster Bomber at Drakenstein, impressed to win by almost 6 lengths on the turf at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday.

A R1,3-million graduate off the BSA 2019 Emperors Palace National Yearling Sale in Session 1, he is owned by former South African trainer David Ferraris and owner Mr Hui.

Trainer Garth Puller thanked Ormond Ferraris the recommendation of sending the horse to him, after Ormond retired from training, mentioning that Ormonds other inmate was the brilliant Summer Pudding at his time of retirement.

This is the stellar family from Cheveley Stud’s outstanding mare and Broodmare Of The Year Mystic Spring – the family of the likes of several Group winners (so many that the sales catalogue pedigree only has space for one dam) including Rabiya, Bela-Bela, Secret Captain, Secret Of Victoria amongst quite a list! Spring Lilac appears to be following in the footsteps of her brilliant grey dam, having produced 8 runners and 7 winners, four Black Type including Snowdance and Victorian Secret.

His destination will be Hong Kong dependant of the outcome of the veterinary requirements for export.

Cheveley Stud had another achievement this past Friday at Fairview, with Michael Roberts raiding Port Elizabeth with Legislate’s full sister Statute. She made the trip pay off, winning the Jockey Club Stakes (Listed) for owner and breeder Vaughan Koster and Dr Nic Labuschagne. Statute’s Gr1 winning brother stands at Cheveley Stud, and is having his winners from his small first crop.

Statute is a 4-time winner, and snatched victory on her debut by five lengths.
