Summer Pudding Scratched, To Retire To Stud

Summer Pudding will be scratched from the Kuda Gr2 Gold Bracelet to be run on Saturday at Hollywoodbets Greyville, after reportedly having not travelled well to Durban.

The mighty Silvano mare out of Cherry On The Cake (Strike Smartly) and current Equus Horse Of The Year thrilled South Africa with a Triple Tiara win, at one point unbeaten from nine starts and with a phenomenal 11 wins to her name from 13 starts, including an incredible four Gr1 wins including the Summer Cup.

Bred and raced by Jess and Steven Jell of Mauritzfontein and trained by Paul Peter, the dark bay mare will be given time to recover before making the trip to Mauritzfontein to retire to stud.

We wish Summer Pudding all of the best in her retirement and look forward to her progeny to come from Mauritzfontein!
