Riethuiskraal Stud enjoyed a double at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday.
Starting off with Ancient Epic who was the pick of the parade ring, the smart Vercingetorix filly has yet to be out of the money from all of her three previous starts, and dominated the race under Anton Marcus to win comfortably for trainer Gareth Van Zyl.
Three year old gelding Trade War followed suit, and was one of three winners for trainer Nathan Kotzen on the day. The Pathfork gelding who sold for R60 000 at the 2020 Nationals, albeit quite green in the running finished almost three lengths ahead under Muzi Yeni over the 1200m.
Riethuiskraal recently sold a Flower Alley half brother at the August 2YO Sale for R130 000.
Riethuiskraal produced 45% winners to runners last season.
Well done to all concerned!
