Wynnholme Festive Double

Ingrid Klug’s Wynnholme Stud in the KZN Midlands has produced two winners and a second place in the space of 10 days.

A boutique breeder with an immaculate farm, Ingrid has had 2 winners for the season from nine runners and 10 places.

Shoot The Rapids in particular, by Erupt out of Rapid Flow by Modern Day looks a great prospect, having finished second on debut over 1600m for owner Mr Sid Moodley and following up with an emphatic five length win over 2200m for trainer Frank Robinson. Sold for R80 000 at the November 2YO Sale, its the formidable family of sires Vaguely Noble and Arabian Lass, and dam is a half sister to Gr1 placed Shogunnar and Gr1 placed Admiral’s Eye, as well as multiple winner and Stakes Placed Saltwater Girl. Rapid Flow herself won six, including the Michaelmas Listed.

Maine Chance son of Dubawi, Erupt has produced 30 wins for the season to date.

Hat Puntano’s first winner Givers Grace, ran second in her penultimate start and followed through to win once again for The Poets Syndicate, and Irish group of racing friends headed by Michael Moroney who has set up his breeding interests in South Africa. Hat Puntano, who stands at Blue Sky, is a Gr1 winner in Argentina and won the Gr2 Charity Mile in South Africa before retiring to stud and his dual winning son earned a cheque in the Gr1 Hollywoodbets Cape Guineas.

Ingrid had an association to the famed family of Hawwaam, Rainbow Bridge and Golden Ducat, standing Pas De Basque, the dam of Equus Award winning broodmare for Wilgerbosdrift, Halfway To Heaven.
