Saturday bore witness to a magnificent performance as Red Maple clinched the Gr2 Tabgold Oaks, coming from last to get up on the line and give Wilgerbosdrift their second win of this race, two years in a row. This time saw last year saw None Other capture this event at Hollywoodbets Scottsville in the famous black and red colours of Wilgerbosdrift.

This remarkable victory for owner Mrs Mary Slack adds yet another “Oaks” feather to Wilgerbosdrift’s cap, continuing their recent streak of successes with these prestigious fillies races countrywide.

Red Maple’s triumph in the Gr2 Tabgold Oaks gave trainer Sean Tarry a feature double on the day, under a shrewd ride from Craig Zackey who timed it to perfection. Prior to this victory, Red Maple has won four times, including the World Sports Betting Spook Express Stakes (Listed).
