Beach Bomb (Lancaster Bomber – Beach Beauty) will debut in America on Saturday 31 August for owners and breeders Drakenstein Stud, in training with Graham Motion who is also taking care of Hollywood Syndicate’s Isivunguvungu (Narrow Creek Stud – What A Winter).
A four-time winner in South Africa including two Gr1’s, trained by Candice Bass-Robinson, her dam Beach Beauty received the much deserved accolade of Equus Broodmare Of The Year, after producing feature winners Beach Bomb and Mike Miller trained Narina Trogon last season.
Merit Rated 117 at her time of export, she will line up in Race 5, the Violet Stakes Listed for a stake of US$100000 over 1700m at Monmouth. Graham Motion has seen success with SAF-breds previously, having trained Rathmor-bred Gypsy’s Warning to Gr1 victory in the Matriarch Stakes at Hollywood Park, as well as a Gr3 win at Monmouth in the Eatontown Stakes.
The diminutive daughter of Dynasty, Beach Beauty, has been as sensational at stud as she was on the track, and sees her Gr2 winning son Wild Coast (Trippi) standing at stud this season at Schalkie Van Der Walt’s Gelykfontein Stud in the Northern Cape.
Her other progeny include Rex Union (Duke of Marmalade), winner of the World Sports Betting Highland Night Cup, and Amanzimtoti, a full sister to Wild Coast and a winner of the Gr2 Western Cape Fillies Championship.
Beach Bomb will be running in Race 5 on turf with Jairo Rendon in the irons.
